A lot of Freshers are often clueless about DDC. Let's say this is your guide to DDC.
Originally DDC stood for Delhi University Dance circuit but now we call it the Delhi Dance circuit to be inclusive of other Universities and crews based in Delhi. A lot of Alumni continue to dance and stay connected to their team. Basically, DDC includes a lot of people who are not University students anymore. Thus, Delhi Dance Circuit is a more appropriate full form of DDC.

Delhi University provides back support to the title given to Delhi of being the "Cultural Capital" of the country by promoting and encouraging students to take part in the cultural activities provided in colleges. The immense support that DU cultural teams get no wonder helps them achieve heights and students often choose their career paths through it.
About 10-12 years back, DU dance teams were originated and their journey through these 10 years has been no less than a complete roller coaster ride.
DU teams started with having 8-10 members per team and now it's increased to having 20-25 members and this shows the craze and passion for Dance is increasing by the time. We wonder if after few years DU Dance teams will be competing in Mega group categories?

From doing Bollywood numbers to dancing to the latest trap music, from wearing bright glittery costumes to now wearing cool hip hop attires and the latest fashion, from doing the choreography themselves to now hiring the best choreographers of the country, from sticking to the basic contemporary and Bollywood dance forms to now exploring, trying and nailing complex dance forms like Urban Hip Hop, Krump, Dancehall, Popping, Locking, Afro, Whacking, etc.

DU Dance Teams has grown a lot. The competition has grown as well. DDC as we call the Delhi dance circuit is one of the strongest circuits. You can see Delhi teams fearlessly securing positions nationwide in all these competitions from IIT Kanpur to BITS Pilani to IIT Mumbai. It's fair to say that Delhi teams should be feared (no offense). DDC has also finally opened doors for long-awaited street dancing events, and we can't deny the fact that we all are obsessed with Street Dance Competitions and it's vibe.
No doubt DU dance teams are now on a different level of dancing, which has encouraged a lot of students to even take Dance as their profession. DU dance teams are very much responsible for helping change the stereotypical thoughts of the parents regarding dance and bring a difference in the dance community of Delhi.
So if you are a fresher passionate about dancing then this is your sign go ahead and register for Auditions of your college's dance society and it will change your life.
